In the economical way, Hong Kong colony did trading but the 13 colonies still did farming. So Hong Kong conloy developed earlier than the 13 conlonies. They had many differences. Hong Kong was more advanced in transpotation too, such as railway and aeroplanes. Those did not appear at the 13 colonies. This made the trading more successful. In the Hong Kong colony, there was bank too. The 13 colonies did farming at first and later they had factoies to make raw materials to goods. So the poor farmers became rich merchants.
In the political way, Hong Kong colony was similar to the 13 colonies. They both had revolution or strike. In the 1920s and 1930s, a backlash against the dockworkers strikes in Hong Kong colony. At last, it ended by increased 32 cents to their wages. Also, the 13 colonies organized a revolution that influenced them combined into America. In the other way, Hong Kong colony
established the legislative council and colonial police force to handle the law and criminal case, but the 13 colonies did not.

Ok, Winky, I appreciate the attempt though your arguments need clarification; for one thing, a strike is not a revolution! Furthermore, Hong Kong has not always had airplanes and a railway; remember, Hong Kong was established in 1842!
