an online recipe for a dish that I am interested in making for the food fair

The address of the food recipe is http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,1977,FOOD_9936_37534.html
I think the most important word is defrost. By using contextual analysis, the key sentence is' bring to room temperature before soaking in the syrup'. By using morphemic analysis, the word can be define into two parts. They are 'de' and 'forest'. The 'de' is meaning down. The word 'frost' is meaning cool. By using phonemic analysis, i can think the word frozen. I choose this word because we can see this word a lot in the recipe, if we don't know what it means we will have a big problem.

What does a forest have to do with frost?

I enjoyed your analysis, the contextual and morphemic elements, that is.

We use phonemic analysis to sound out words to hear whether or not we know them; we don't use phonemic analysis to hear other words!
